If you would like to set sail with a career in the maritime industry, as chief engineer on vessels with propulsion power up to 750 kW; second engineer on vessels with propulsion power up to 1,500 kW in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ); second engineer on vessels with inboard engines with propulsion power up to 1500 kilowatts within the EEZ; chief or second engineer on a vessel with outboard engines within the EEZ; an assistant under the direct supervision of the chief engineer; or in the engine room of a vessel up to 80 meters long with propulsion power up to 3,000 kilowatts.
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge to prepare anyone for the role of an outdoor activity leader, supervising and leading dependent participants across a range of activities.
