This specialisation (Ageing) has been designed for individuals who want to work in the aged care industry, either in a home and community care environment or an aged care facility. Students who complete this qualification are able to provide personal, in person care to the elderly in a variety of settings including people’s homes, residential facilities, retirement villages, nursing homes and hospitals. Australian Employment & Training Services (AEATS) deliver a classroom-based program with a coordinated work placement component facilitated by industry experts.
