Through this apprenticeship, you can become a qualified engineering tradesperson for a wide range of work in the fields of refrigeration and airconditioning, casting and moulding, computer numerically controlled (CNC) programming, fluid power, heavy welding and fabrication, instrumentation, maintenance, plant mechanics, marine electronics, mechatronics, patternmaking, robotics, toolmaking and more!

The training will give you trade skills such as technical drawing, taking engineering measurements, performing computations, using computing technologies, and using hand and power tools. You will also learn how to dismantle and replace engineering components, rectify and fix batteries and electronic controlling systems on mobile plant, maintain hydraulic systems on mobile plant, and carry out maintenance service on combustion engines and other machinery.
