AE616 – Statement of Attainment at Certificate II Level Driller’s Offsider Job Ready Skill Set
This skill set is provided to help individuals gain entry level skills that can lead to employment opportunities within the Drilling, Resources and Mining Sectors due to the demand for skilled workers.
Completion of the skill set can also lead to further traineeship opportunities to advance your experience/career.
The skill set is comprised of:
HLTAID011 – Provide first aid
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
RIIVEH305F – Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle
Students will have the opportunity to attend face to face training at our facilities in Jandakot or West Swan with our knowledgeable trainers and assessors.

The Driller’s Offsider Job Ready Program is an entry level pathway which provides participants with skills in preparation for working on a mining or exploration site as a driller's offsider. Completion of the program can lead to job opportunities as a driller's offsider or start in a paid traineeship in Drilling Operations to further your career and training. This skill set contains the following nationally recognised units of competency.

  • RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
  • RIIVEH305F – Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle
  • HLTAID011 – Provide first aid
  • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Prior to starting the Driller’s Offsider Job Ready Program you will attend a one-day induction to familiarise yourself with the duties of a drillers’ offsider and the requirements to succeed in the role. Students will have the opportunity to attend face to face training at our state of the art facilities in Osborne Park facilitated by industry experts in mining.
